PM Modi Criticizes TMC Government During Rally in Birbhum

Birbhum, April 9: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a rally in Birbhum, West Bengal, on Thursday, targeting the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) government. He described Birbhum as a land filled with history, revolution, and inspiration.

Modi stated, “Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore envisioned a society free from fear. However, the TMC’s rule has created a jungle raj contrary to this vision. They speak of ‘Maa, Mati, and Manush,’ but today, the mother is weeping. Intruders are occupying the land, and the people live in fear. Birbhum stands as a witness to this jungle raj. The incident in Bogtui was not just a single event; it was a blot on humanity, where innocent women and children were burned alive. This is clear evidence of the TMC’s syndicate of goondaraj. The land is yours, the rights are yours, but there is a gang war for control over it. The ongoing looting of sand, stones, and coal is happening with the blessings of TMC’s top leaders.”

The Prime Minister highlighted the issue of infiltration, claiming, “The TMC syndicate is providing fake government documents to intruders. They enter from neighboring areas, and illegal activities are being carried out under duress in panchayat and other government offices. This black market of fake documents poses a significant threat to Bengal’s and the country’s security. Once the BJP forms a government in Bengal, a special investigation will be initiated against those aiding intruders. I guarantee this. Every helper of the intruders, no matter how powerful, will be identified. Intruders will be driven out, and their masters will be jailed. Whether it’s a government scheme or labor work, intruders take these jobs from locals for less money, forcing local people to migrate elsewhere in search of work. This will not continue.”

Modi accused the TMC of disrespecting the President, stating, “For our SC-ST and OBC communities, life has become difficult. If the TMC can insult the country’s first tribal woman President, what does that say about their mentality? The President, Murmu, visited a significant event for the Santhal community here. Regardless of the government in power, it is your duty to give the President due respect under the Constitution. But this arrogant TMC government does not regard the President simply because she is a daughter of the tribal community. This is an insult to the Constitution and to all tribals and women.”

He recalled a distressing incident from the previous year involving a tribal girl in Birbhum, saying, “No plan can compensate for the loss of a daughter. The tragedy that occurred at RG Kar Medical College is unforgettable. I urge all mothers and sisters that this election is about the safety of our daughters. The BJP government guarantees assistance to sisters every month without cuts. The rights of the deserving reach their accounts.”

Modi asserted, “The youth of Bengal are determining the end of the TMC’s ruthless government. The pain and tears endured by the youth here will be answered on April 23 and 29. I assure the people of Birbhum that a fearless Bengal is possible. The youth, who once contributed to institutions like Visva-Bharati, are now forced to migrate for education and jobs. It is unfortunate that no new universities are being established, existing ones lack regular campuses, and many schools are closing down. The central government organizes job fairs that have provided over 1.7 million government jobs in the past two years. However, in West Bengal, there is no job fair, only a game of job theft. The teacher recruitment scam has crushed the dreams of thousands of families.”

He concluded, “India is setting new records in defense production. Yet, in Birbhum, raw bombs are being found in the homes of TMC affiliates. The TMC has turned bomb-making into a cottage industry. While small and cottage industries are shutting down, the bomb industry is thriving. This cannot continue. Bengal is rich in natural resources, but the TMC syndicate is looting it. On May 4, the TMC will be ousted. A new chapter of connectivity will begin under the BJP government in Bengal, creating new job opportunities for the youth.”

Modi emphasized, “The Indian government has initiated projects worth ₹75,000 crores, but the TMC has stalled them. Now, work will accelerate on various projects, paving the way for both small and large industries in Birbhum. The TMC has deceived poor families under the guise of MGNREGA. The central government is introducing the G-ramji law. If people elect our government, we will implement this law, ensuring 125 days of employment and full wages directly deposited into your bank accounts. The TMC is destroying potato farming, which poses a serious crisis. The central government has launched the FPO scheme for small farmers. Once the BJP forms the government in Bengal, new FPOs will be established to resolve numerous issues.”
