PM Modi Advocates for Trust and Equality at G-7 Summit

Evian, June 16: At the G-7 summit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized India’s commitment to a “Humanity First” approach, advocating for global development that includes everyone. During the outreach session in France, he highlighted the need for trust to strengthen international partnerships.

Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal noted that PM Modi stated the world must move beyond a relationship of mere aid-givers and aid-receivers, towards partnerships based on equality and unity.

He also pointed out that India’s “Humanity First” perspective is evident in initiatives like the International Solar Alliance, the Coalition for Disaster-Resilient Infrastructure, the Global Biofuel Alliance, Mission ‘Life’, and ‘One Tree for Mother’.

PM Modi reiterated that India’s approach to international partnerships is rooted in the philosophy of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam,” which means the world is one family. He assured that India will continue to work towards sustainable and inclusive global development.

Earlier, French President Emmanuel Macron warmly welcomed PM Modi at the G-7 summit in Evian. The two leaders exchanged hugs and greetings during their meeting. The outreach session also included U.S. President Donald Trump and leaders from other nations.
