The much-awaited 20th instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) Yojana is expected to be released soon, bringing good news for millions of Indian farmers. While the government has not yet officially confirmed the exact release date, it is important for all beneficiaries to ensure their e-KYC is updated to avoid delays or rejections in receiving the ₹2,000 instalment.
Earlier this year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 19th instalment of PM Kisan Yojana from Bhagalpur, Bihar, on February 24, 2025. Under this flagship welfare scheme, registered farmers receive ₹2,000 every four months directly into their bank accounts, totalling ₹6,000 annually.
Why Is e-KYC Mandatory for the 20th Instalment?
The Union Government is determined to maintain transparency and ensure that only genuine farmers benefit from this scheme. The e-KYC process authenticates beneficiaries and prevents any misuse by middlemen. Without completing e-KYC, farmers may not receive their next instalment.
To ensure seamless credit of funds, farmers must ensure their bank accounts are linked with Aadhaar and e-KYC is completed promptly.
How to Download PM Kisan Mobile App and Complete e-KYC
Download the official PM Kisan app from Google Play Store.
Log in using your registered mobile number.
Go to the Beneficiary Status section.
If it displays “e-KYC: No”, click on the e-KYC option.
Enter your Aadhaar number and proceed with face authentication via your device.
Once the scan is successful, your e-KYC will be updated, typically within 24 hours.
How to Check PM Kisan 20th Instalment Status Online

Important Reminder for Farmers
To avoid missing out on the upcoming ₹2,000 instalment, farmers should not delay completing their e-KYC. This quick process ensures uninterrupted benefits under PM-KISAN and helps maintain your eligibility for future instalments.
Stay updated by regularly checking the PM-KISAN website and app, and make sure your Aadhaar and bank details are correctly linked.
