India’s farmers play a crucial role in the country’s economy, yet many continue to face financial challenges due to high farming costs, unpredictable weather, and uncertain crop prices. To support them, the Government of India launched the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM Kisan), under which eligible farmers receive ₹6,000 per year in three installments of ₹2,000 each, directly credited to their bank accounts through DBT. So far, crores of farmers have received 20 installments under this scheme.

Farmers Waiting for the 21st Instalment
Many farmers are eagerly waiting for the 21st installment of the PM Kisan Yojana and want to know if it will be released before Diwali. PM Kisan installments are generally issued every four months.
According to media reports, the Government of India may release the 21st installment in November or December this year, which means the money could be credited after Diwali. However, the government has not yet announced any official date for the release of the installment.
Who Will Get the Next Payment?
Farmers who have not completed e-KYC or land record (Bhulekh) verification will not receive the next installment. Additionally, it is mandatory for the bank account to be linked with Aadhaar. Therefore, farmers who wish to receive the benefits of this scheme should ensure that these steps are completed as soon as possible.
