Kupwara, October 14 (Daily Kiran) : The Prime Minister’s Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PM-FME) scheme, along with banking support, has significantly aided hotel and restaurant owner Sohail Ahmad War in Kupwara. Initially, War faced challenges in establishing and stabilizing his business due to limited capital. However, financial assistance from the scheme allowed him to invest in his enterprise, enhance facilities, and expand operations.
War operates the ‘Vintage House Hotel and Restaurant’ in Kupwara. He credits the support from the government scheme and banking system as crucial to strengthening his business. This assistance not only stabilized his operations but also created job opportunities for others in the community.
He explained that he started his hotel and restaurant under the PM-FME scheme. Previously, the lack of funds made it difficult to set up and grow his business. With the financial aid, War was able to invest in his operations and expand activities. Currently, around 14 people are employed at his establishment, making his venture a source of livelihood while also providing jobs for others.
War noted that the support from the scheme has contributed to making his business more stable and improving income. This economic assistance has been instrumental in solidifying his enterprise as a sustainable means of livelihood.
He expressed that the financial aid has given him the opportunity to fulfill his dream of self-reliance while also creating job opportunities for others. War emphasized that the true success of any government scheme is measured by its benefits reaching the common people, enabling them to improve their lives and businesses.
Looking ahead, he hopes that such initiatives will continue to benefit more individuals, particularly young entrepreneurs, helping them start their own businesses, achieve self-sufficiency, and create employment opportunities for others.
