Lucknow, March 16 : Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav on Wednesday said that the people of Uttar Pradesh in their mandate have accepted SP and an alternative of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). In a statement issued here, Akhilesh said, “Support of all sections of the society is with SP as a result due to the cooperation of the public and party workers number of seats and vote percentage of SP has increased. Resentment among the people has increased due to inflation, poor law and order situation and atrocities immediately after the polls.” He alleged that BJP has no faith in democracy and the Constitution. “It wants to remain in power through the politics of deceit and money power. The manner in which BJP has formed the government is not hidden from anyone. BJP won the electoral battle through EVM, wheresd SP’s victory is moral. Strength of the BJP has declined,” he said. Akhilesh said that the basic infrastructure created by the SP government in the state has been destroyed by BJP. “The people of the state have taught a lesson to BJP in the assembly polls and have given indications of change in politics by accepting SP and an alternative of BJP.
