Jaipur, 1 September (Kiran News). The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Nagaur team arrested Suresh Kumar Meghwal, a patwari from Bhawal Tehsil, Riyabadi, Nagaur district, while accepting a bribe of ₹9,500 for processing an amendment in the partition of ancestral agricultural land.

According to ACB Additional Director General Smita Srivastava, a complainant had reported that the patwari demanded a bribe of ₹10,000 to amend the records after the mutual partition of his ancestral agricultural land. The ACB verified the complaint, confirming that the patwari insisted on the bribe amount. During a trap operation led by Additional Superintendent of Police Kalpana Solanki, the patwari was caught red-handed while accepting ₹10,000, returning ₹500 to the complainant, and ultimately accepting ₹9,500 as bribe.
