
Mumbai: Actor Parag Tyagi has made his comeback on television after eight months following the sad demise of his wife and actress Shefali Jariwala. Sharing a glimpse of his upcoming show on social media, Parag informed his fans about his return to the small screen.
Shefali Jariwala passed away in Mumbai on June 28, 2025, at the age of 42.
On his Instagram account, Parag shared a sneak peek of his new TV show titled “Chandanbala”. In the caption, he wrote, “Coming soon… Chandanbala.” The post also reflected his love and remembrance for Shefali.
The actor’s post received numerous comments from followers and industry colleagues alike. His friend Aarti Singh wished him, saying, “All the best, brother.” Actress Jasveer Kaur commented, “Wonderful.” Fans and friends joined in, sending him their warm wishes and support.
Parag Tyagi began his television career playing Vinod Karanjkar in the popular show “Pavitra Rishta.” He later appeared in successful serials like “Brahmarakshas,” “Jodha Akbar,” and “Shakti: Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki.” Apart from television, Parag has also worked in Bollywood and Telugu films. His debut film “A Wednesday!” received critical acclaim. He was also seen in “Government 3” and the Telugu movie “Agnyaathavaasi.”
Shefali Jariwala had gained nationwide popularity with the hit music video “Kanta Laga” in 2002. Her fame led to a small role in Salman Khan’s film “Mujhse Shaadi Karogi.” She later acted in the web series “Baby Come Naa” and participated in dance reality shows like “Boogie Woogie” and “Nach Baliye.” Shefali was also a contestant on “Bigg Boss 13.”
