New Delhi, April 26: Pappu Yadav, a Member of Parliament from Purnia, has expressed strong criticism regarding Raghav Chadha’s recent defection from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), along with six other MPs. He stated that the Punjab government should file a case against Chadha and imprison him. Yadav also targeted the BJP in his remarks.
Speaking to reporters, Yadav said, “I have always believed that the BJP wins elections through hacking. They eliminate political parties and opponents using agencies like the ED, CBI, and the Election Commission. As for Raghav Chadha, he campaigned on donations while flaunting expensive clothing and owning a house in London. These individuals have looted Punjab. If we were in power in Punjab, we would have already imprisoned them.”
He accused the ruling party of attempting to buy the public’s support with money. Yadav claimed that it has been proven that Nitish Kumar was also betrayed and sidelined within three months. He noted that the Maharashtra elections were fought under Eknath Shinde’s name, but Shinde was also pushed aside. Yadav warned that next in line could be Chandrababu Naidu.
Yadav further stated, “The central government is targeting all political parties, and all parties, including NDA allies, need to be cautious. Fighting among ourselves will yield no benefits. The BJP should be toppled before or during the 2027 elections.”
In response to a statement by former BJP MP Brijbhushan Sharan Singh, Yadav remarked, “Brijbhushan has been close to both Mulayam Singh Yadav and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. If Yogi Adityanath is not giving him any importance or respect now, that is not right. While Yogi may have dominance in Gorakhpur, Brijbhushan remains a significant figure in his own region.”
