Mumbai: Films that reflect society hold a special significance. Such films not only entertain but also courageously bring forward issues that people often choose to ignore. Actress Shweta Tripathi is addressing these sensitive topics through her upcoming film ‘Palkon Pe’.
Speaking about her experience on the shoot, Shweta Tripathi described it as challenging. She said, “The shooting spanned several consecutive days and involved a long schedule. This tiring journey brought the entire team closer. The understanding and trust that developed between the actors and the technical crew is evident in the film. Helping each other during the shoot became a source of fresh energy for everyone.”
On the film’s theme, Shweta added, “What attracted me most was the story. The film confronts questions that society often shuts its eyes to. Issues like divorce, gender equality, sexual identity, and mental health are presented directly and honestly. These are topics people usually avoid discussing. ‘Palkon Pe’ fearlessly portrays these matters in a powerful manner.”
She also praised the director, saying, “Director Nidhish Pujakkal has made the film even more special with his unique style. He views every scene, every silence, and every emotion through a psychological lens. Working under such direction is a dream for an actor, as it allows one to delve deeply into the character and bring complete authenticity to each scene. His approach transforms the film from just a story into an experience.”
Besides Shweta Tripathi, the film features Abhishek Chauhan and Ishan Naqvi in key roles.
Sharing her experience working with co-actors, Shweta said, “Abhishek and Ishan are both extremely sincere and dedicated artists. Their commitment made the tough and long days meaningful. Everyone worked with full effort and heart, which makes every scene of the film appear natural and authentic.”
