Pakistan Refuses India Match Due to Fear, Says SP Leader ST Hasan

Muradabad: Samajwadi Party leader ST Hasan has criticised Pakistan for refusing to play the T20 World Cup match against India, stating that Pakistan fears India. Hasan pointed out that Pakistan has often lost to India in the past, which is why they are avoiding the match.

The Pakistan Government recently announced its decision to boycott the T20 World Cup match against India. Responding to this, Hasan said that India has consistently maintained that no matches should be played with Pakistan unless they stop terrorist activities against India. However, these activities continue even as matches go on.

“In my opinion, the match should not take place. Pakistan is using Bangladesh as an excuse, but the real reason is fear,” Hasan said. “We are also not willing to play with them. They should first improve the situation and create an atmosphere of peace and love. Only then should matches be held.”

Hasan further questioned Pakistan’s claim about Bangladesh’s support, adding that Pakistan remains silent on the treatment of Hindus in Bangladesh. “Pakistan is hiding behind Bangladesh’s name to avoid playing against India,” he stated.

According to an official Pakistan government ‘X’ account, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan has permitted its cricket team to participate in the 2026 T20 World Cup. However, the team will not take the field for the match against India scheduled for February 15.

The refusal by Pakistan to play this match has sparked reactions from cricket fans. Many believe Pakistan has made similar statements before, but skipping matches against India will only harm Pakistan’s own interests.
