Owaisi Demands Release of SIT Report on Ayodhya Temple Donation Theft

Hyderabad, September 3 (Daily Kiran) : Asaduddin Owaisi, the president of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM), raised concerns on Thursday regarding the lack of public access to the Special Investigation Team (SIT) report on the Ayodhya Ram Temple donation theft. He expressed that the community is upset as their faith has been ridiculed.

Owaisi questioned the appointment of Air Marshal Jitendra Mishra (Retired) as the first CEO of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust. He asked, “Who made the previous appointments? It was the government, right? You brought it to Parliament and made appointments to the Trust. Despite this, millions of rupees were stolen. People are angry because their faith has been mocked. You can appoint anyone; you are the government.”

The MP emphasized that the public deserves to know who committed the theft. He stated, “An FIR has been filed, and you have the report. So why is that report not being made public? You have mocked the faith of the people and gained votes and power in its name while everything was looted.”

On the ongoing Special Intensive Review (SIR) in Telangana, Owaisi noted issues with mapping, such as cases involving more than six children, which have led to voter SIR notices being sent out. He urged those receiving notices to attend hearings with their Aadhaar and other documents.

He highlighted complaints where voters, despite being alive and residing at their registered addresses, were incorrectly marked as ‘deceased’ or ‘shifted.’ He said, “Notices are being sent to voters whose names appear on the discrepancies list and whose mapping is incomplete. We appeal to the public, especially women and young men and women receiving notices, to come to the hearings immediately and bring their Aadhaar cards and other necessary documents.”

Tensions continue to rise as Owaisi demands accountability and transparency regarding the temple theft and the ongoing electoral processes.
