Ahmedabad, May 12: The cancellation of the NEET exam has sparked widespread anger among students, parents, and coaching institute operators. Many have expressed distrust towards the National Testing Agency (NTA) and voiced concerns about the future. Coaching institute directors Vishal Patel and Harmeet Shah have also reacted strongly to the uncertainty faced by students.
Vishal Patel stated, “The paper leak and exam cancellation are extremely concerning. Over 2.3 million students worked tirelessly for this exam, dreaming of a bright future. These students are connected not just to their teachers but also to 2.3 million families. This situation highlights flaws in the system and raises serious questions about our examination process.”
Harmeet Shah added, “Fifty students from our coaching institute took the NEET exam, and they have worked hard over the past two years. Their families made significant sacrifices, but today it feels like all that effort has gone to waste.”
Student Narsi expressed her disappointment, saying, “This is truly heartbreaking. The outcome of our hard work over the past two years should never have been like this. No one expected we would have to retake the NEET exam, and now we don’t know how long it will take to prepare at the same level again.”
Another student, Diya, remarked, “We put in a lot of effort and stayed up late, sacrificing outings. Our focus has been solely on NEET for the past two years. I am distressed by the cancellation, as it means we have to prepare again. The government must prevent paper leaks.”
A student who took the exam shared, “I worked day and night for this exam and sacrificed everything for my studies. For two years, my sole focus was NEET. If the exam is rescheduled, students may not be mentally prepared to perform well. Due to the NTA’s negligence, we will have to take the exam again.”
