Ranchi, April 24 The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an Orange Alert for 12 districts in Jharkhand, warning of thunderstorms, hailstorms, and winds reaching speeds of 40-50 km/h on April 27. This alert applies to the northeastern, southern, and central regions of the state.

Stormy Weather Ahead for Northeastern and Southern Jharkhand

In addition to the Orange Alert for April 27, a Yellow Alert has also been declared for April 26, specifically targeting the northeastern and southern districts. The forecast includes thunderstorms and gusty winds, raising concerns about local disruptions and safety.

• Daltonganj (Palamu)

• Bokaro

While thunderstorms are forecast in the coming days, intense heat continues to scorch the state. Palamu recorded a scorching 44°C, marking the highest temperature in Jharkhand currently. Heatwave conditions have led to a rise in heat-related illnesses and discomfort among residents.
