Lucknow, October 2 (Daily Kiran) : As Uttar Pradesh gears up for the Rajya Sabha elections, opposition leader Akhilesh Yadav’s call for unity has drawn sharp criticism from the ruling coalition’s ministers. Cabinet Minister Sanjay Nishad and State Minister Danish Azad Ansari have dismissed the opposition’s claims as hollow.
Nishad accused the opposition of being limited to mere statements and poster campaigns. He stated that the public has witnessed the opposition’s performance over the past 70 years, leading many leaders to either form their own parties or align with the NDA.
He asserted that Akhilesh’s vision of unity appears only when he is out of power, suggesting that his statements will not bring about any real change. Nishad confidently predicted a historic victory for the NDA in the upcoming elections.
Meanwhile, Danish Azad Ansari criticized the Samajwadi Party for making grand claims that he believes have now been exposed as false. He stated that the party’s inflated promises have lost their credibility, and the public will not forgive the Samajwadi Party for spreading confusion and hatred in the state.
Azad further claimed that the Samajwadi Party is heading towards its biggest defeat in the 2027 assembly elections, predicting that it will struggle to even reach double digits in voter support.
