Opposition Accuses BJP of Breaking Rivals Amid Raghav Chadhas Defection

New Delhi, April 25: Opposition leaders are targeting the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) following the defection of Raghav Chadha and other Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MPs to the BJP. They claim that the BJP’s ongoing strategy is to divide opposition parties, and this latest move is nothing new.

Congress leader Abhishek Dutt spoke with a news agency, stating, “It won’t be long before Arvind Kejriwal merges AAP with the BJP. I fail to understand why Kejriwal did not suspend or expel Swati Maliwal and Raghav Chadha when they openly opposed him. Why are they still part of the party?”

Samajwadi Party spokesperson Ashutosh Verma commented, “AAP is going through a tough phase. We want AAP to remain a strong opposition in Delhi and strengthen the ‘Indi’ alliance in Punjab. We sympathize with AAP and its workers. This incident serves as a lesson for Arvind Kejriwal and his team.”

Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut remarked, “Seven Rajya Sabha members from AAP, especially from Punjab, have joined the BJP. Everyone knows the kind of politics the BJP is practicing. The only word for their politics is shamelessness, where there is no sense of shame. Just yesterday, Raghav Chadha openly called the BJP a party of goons and corrupt individuals, and now they have all joined this so-called party of goons and corrupt people.”

Raut added, “The opposition will never be weak. The 6-7 individuals who left are not well-known figures. They are merely leaders from social media’s ‘Page 3’. You must have seen that another MP from our party, who is a saint and works in the environmental field, was also pressured to leave with the others, but he categorically refused.”

AAP leader Anurag Dhanda stated, “Did Mahatma Gandhi, Subhas Chandra Bose, and martyr Bhagat Singh not have the option to compromise and live peacefully with the British? They chose the path of struggle, and that’s why history remembers them. History never remembers traitors.”

Sanjay Singh has written a letter to the chairman, demanding that the memberships of the three individuals who joined the BJP be revoked. He emphasized that they have left AAP and have no legal right to remain in the Rajya Sabha. He believes the people of Punjab will teach them a lesson, and the country will punish traitors for their betrayal. In time, they will clearly understand this. The departure of traitors will only make AAP stronger.
