Oppo is set to launch its new mid-range smartphone series, the Oppo Reno 15, in India next week. The company has confirmed that the series will debut on January 8, upgrading the Oppo Reno 14 series introduced last year.
The Oppo Reno 15 series will include three models: Oppo Reno 15, Oppo Reno 15 Pro, and Oppo Reno 15 Pro Mini. The highlight of the series is the powerful camera setup, especially the Pro variants featuring a 200MP ultra-clear primary sensor. The base model will come with a 50MP primary camera equipped with optical image stabilization (OIS).
In addition to the 200MP main camera, the Pro versions will also feature a 50MP telephoto portrait camera offering 3.5x optical zoom. The series supports advanced AI capabilities and Pro-Tone technology, enhancing photography with features such as AI Editor 3.0, AI Motion Photo Slow-Mo, and AI Portrait Glow. The camera system can also record 4K HDR videos.
The design of the Oppo Reno 15 phones draws inspiration from the iPhone Pro series, particularly in the rear panel. The Pro Mini variant is expected to sport a 6.3-inch flat OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, while the Pro and base models may come with larger 6.9-inch OLED screens.
Performance-wise, the Pro variants will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8450 processor, paired with 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. The base Oppo Reno 15 model could feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, backed by a robust 6500mAh battery supporting 80W fast charging. The Mini version might include a slightly smaller 6200mAh battery with 80W cable fast charging support.
All models in the series will run on ColorOS 16 based on Android 16 and feature an aerospace-grade aluminium frame, promising a durable build quality.
