Operation Freeze

Jaipur, October 14 (Daily Kiran): Under the directions of Director General of Police Rajiv Kumar Sharma, Sri Ganganagar police carried out two major actions on Tuesday as part of the special campaign Operation Freeze — seizing luxury properties linked to a ₹2,000-crore alleged cyber-fraud and demolishing an illegal plot held by a history-sheeter in Suratgarh.

Operation Freeze

The police action targeted persons accused of fraud linked to a firm named CAPPMOREFX, reportedly responsible for about ₹2,000 crore in online fraud. Officers named Lajpat Rai Arya, Deepak Kumar Arya, Ajay Kumar Arya and others in the probe. Investigators said the accused had no legitimate income source yet purchased expensive plots and luxury vehicles; such assets were treated as proceeds of crime and attached.

Authorities said properties in Jaipur and Sri Ganganagar bought in the names of accused and relatives — including Renu Bala (wife of Lajpat Rai Arya), fugitive Ajay Kumar Arya, and Malkit Singh (father of Karmjit Singh) — were attached as proceeds of the alleged fraud. The attachments followed summary hearings on two petitions presented on February 5 and March 11, 2025, and a judicial magistrate on October 14 passed attachment orders under Section 107 BNSS.

Details of seized assets listed by police include:

  • Jaipur: Plot in Amex City on Ajmer Road (253.00 sq. metres) and a plot in Giridhari Pura (Apollo Grih Nirman Sahakari Samiti) of 138.88 sq. metres.

  • Sri Ganganagar: A luxury Lexus ES 300H, a suspicious online fraud amount totalling ₹10 lakh, and two plots (20×80 ft) in Chak 7E Choti, Manvi Enclave.

In a second strand of Operation Freeze, Sri Ganganagar police, jointly with the municipality, acted against the illegal encroachment of municipal land in Suratgarh by a history-sheeter. Police identified Vikas alias Vikki Meel as the accused, against whom more than 15 serious cases were reportedly pending. The municipality’s boundary wall and animal enclosure on the encroached land were demolished, and the plot — valued at around ₹60 lakh — was freed from illegal possession.

Director General of Police Rajiv Kumar Sharma praised the Sri Ganganagar police, saying the actions show the force’s commitment to not only uphold law but also to dismantle illegitimate empires built from crime.

Police said investigations and legal proceedings in the fraud and encroachment matters are ongoing.
