OnePlus Unveils New 120W Dual-Port GaN Charger Ahead of Launch

Mumbai, April 27: OnePlus has revealed specifications for its latest fast-charging device just before its upcoming launch event. The company is set to introduce a new 120W GaN dual-port SuperVOOC charger alongside a compact 100W variant.

Both chargers will debut on April 28th, coinciding with the launch of the Ace 6 Ultra smartphone.

Specifications of the OnePlus 120W SuperVOOC Charger

The standout feature is the 120W SuperVOOC Flash Charger. According to OnePlus, this charger can deliver up to 120W output when a single port is used. When a second device is connected, the total output slightly increases to 125W, enabling users to charge multiple devices simultaneously without significant performance loss.

OnePlus claims that the charger can charge the Ace 6 Ultra to approximately 68 percent in just 30 minutes, based on lab tests.

In terms of design, the charger adopts what OnePlus describes as a “small square bottle” form factor. This compact, blocky design is intended for easy portability while accommodating dual ports.

The integration of GaN (gallium nitride) technology allows the charger to remain relatively small despite its high output, a trend that has become prevalent in premium charging accessories in recent years.

Additionally, OnePlus highlights smaller enhancements. The charger features an upgraded excimer laser coating process, which improves the surface texture and enhances comfort during use. It also comes with a soft silicone data cable.

In tandem with the 120W model, OnePlus is launching a 100W SuperVOOC GaN charger. Although it does not reach the peak output of the 120W variant, it still supports up to 100W charging and is designed to work efficiently with third-party devices.

Both chargers are expected to go on sale after their announcement event on April 28th. Pricing details have yet to be disclosed.
