Udaipur (Daily Kiran): Nubia has officially confirmed the launch date of its upcoming flagship smartphone, the Z80 Ultra, which will debut in China on October 22. The company has also unveiled the phone’s design and color options, revealing a refreshed aesthetic and upgraded camera configuration.

Refined Design and New Colors
The Nubia Z80 Ultra retains a design language similar to last year’s Z70 Ultra, but the camera island has been redesigned. The main and ultrawide lenses are now positioned on the top, while the periscope zoom module sits below. The edges of the camera island taper smoothly into the sides of the rear panel, giving it a sleeker appearance.
The device will be available in Light White, Phantom Black, and a Starry Sky Collector’s Edition, inspired by Vincent van Gogh’s iconic artwork.
Camera Upgrades
Nubia has confirmed that the Z80 Ultra will feature an 18mm equivalent ultrawide camera equipped with a 1/1.55-inch sensor, 7P lens elements, and an IR-coated filter for improved optical performance. It will be paired with a 35mm main camera using a 1/1.3-inch Omnivision 990 sensor.
The third telephoto sensor will support 50x hybrid zoom with optical image stabilization (OIS), likely using the same 64MP 2.7x optical zoom module seen in the Z70 Ultra and Z70S Ultra. Nubia has also shared official camera samples demonstrating the phone’s wide focal range, spanning 18mm to 140mm.
Flagship Specifications
Under the hood, the Z80 Ultra will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, ensuring top-tier performance. The phone is expected to sport a 144Hz full-screen OLED display with an under-display selfie camera, delivering a completely immersive viewing experience.
Powering the device will be a 7,100mAh battery with support for 90W wired fast charging, as hinted by earlier leaks.
With its premium design, versatile camera system, and high-end internals, the Nubia Z80 Ultra is shaping up to be one of the most powerful and visually striking Android flagships of 2025.
