New Delhi, September 9 (Daily Kiran) : The National Testing Agency (NTA) has sent its best wishes to candidates participating in the UGC NET 2026 examination. In a post on X, the agency stated, “Best of luck to every candidate taking the UGC NET 2026 exam in English, Sociology, and Commerce. Please arrive early at your center, carry your admit card and a valid photo ID, and follow the instructions. All the best!”
The UGC NET 2026 exams are being conducted from Wednesday to Thursday, with the English subject exam scheduled for the first shift on Wednesday. The second shift will cater to Commerce students, while Sociology exams are set for Thursday.
On Tuesday, the NTA issued important travel advisories for candidates attending the UGC NET June 2026 re-examination in Delhi. The agency urged candidates to plan their journeys in advance.
The NTA highlighted the potential for travel restrictions in the national capital on September 9 and 10, which could lead to longer road travel times and delays in reaching examination centers.
In its advisory, the NTA encouraged all candidates to check their travel routes beforehand, leave early, and account for possible traffic restrictions, route changes, or delays, allowing ample extra time to reach their designated centers.
Candidates were advised to make appropriate arrangements and consider the likelihood of increased travel times, ensuring they arrive at their respective examination centers well before the reporting time to avoid any last-minute issues.
The re-examinations for English, Commerce, and Sociology are taking place at various centers across the country, with the schedule set for September 9 and 10. The English exam will be held from 9 AM to 12 PM in the first shift on Wednesday, while the Commerce exam is slated for 3 PM to 6 PM in the second shift. The Sociology paper will occur on Thursday from 9 AM to 12 PM in the first shift.
