
New Delhi, May 30: The South District AATS team of the Delhi Police has apprehended a notorious female drug dealer. The accused, identified as Meena alias Meenu, aged 40, was found in possession of 112.32 grams of high-quality heroin.
According to police reports, Meena resides in the Kishanganj area of Karol Bagh. Sources indicate that she was recently released on bail in an NDPS case on May 6, but resumed her drug supply activities shortly after her release.
The South District AATS team received a tip-off that Meena was scheduled to deliver drugs near the Tyagaraj Stadium in INA Colony. Acting swiftly on the information, the team increased surveillance in the area. When Meena arrived to hand over the drugs, the police team arrested her on the spot.
A search conducted under the NDPS Act revealed 112.32 grams of heroin, which was confirmed using a narcotic field testing kit. During interrogation, the accused admitted to being a habitual drug dealer, supplying synthetic drugs to local customers and small-time dealers in Delhi.
An FIR has been registered at the Kotla Mubarakpur police station under Section 21 of the NDPS Act, numbered 106/2026. The police are now interrogating the accused further to uncover the backward and forward linkages of her drug supply network.
This successful operation was led by Inspector Umesh Yadav, with the team working under the guidance of Arvind Kumar, Additional DCP/OPS, South District. The team included SI Sajid Hussain, Navdeep Singh, ASI Deshraj, Ravinder, Head Constable Amit, Krishna, Arvind, Ishwar, Female Head Constable Seema Malik, Constable Mandheer, and Arvind.
Additional Police Commissioner Anant Mittal, IPS, praised the team’s efforts, stating that the Delhi Police is committed to a zero-tolerance policy against drug mafias.
