Nothing OS 4.1 Update Now Available for Multiple Smartphones

Mumbai, April 27: After its debut on the Nothing Phone (4a) series last month, the Nothing OS 4.1 update is now rolling out to older devices. The rollout began with the Nothing Phone (3) and has quickly expanded to include several mid-range smartphones.

Here’s a list of Nothing phones that have received the Nothing OS 4.1 update:

  • Nothing Phone (3)
  • Nothing Phone (3a)
  • Nothing Phone (3a) Pro
  • Nothing Phone (2)
  • Nothing Phone (2a)
  • Nothing Phone (2a) Plus
  • CMF Phone 2 Pro
  • CMF Phone 1

The only device not included in this rollout is the Nothing Phone (3a) Lite, which will receive the OS 4.1 update in May.

It’s important to note that updates are typically rolled out in batches, so it may take several days for all users to receive it. If you haven’t seen the update yet, navigate to Settings > System > System Update to manually check for updates.

The new OS 4.1 software introduces three new Breathing Break widgets. These widgets provide simple breathing exercises aimed at helping users reset during their day. Tapping a widget starts a timer and prompts users to perform inhaling and exhaling exercises.

Additionally, the update brings an Essential Voice feature, an AI-driven voice-to-text transcription tool that supports over 100 languages, including regional languages like Hindi, Bengali, and Tamil. All devices except the Nothing Phone (2) and CMF Phone 1 have received this feature.

With OS 4.1, Nothing phones are finally getting the AI Eraser feature in the Nothing Gallery app. This tool intelligently detects bystanders and reflections, allowing users to manually select areas for removal. The Live updates feature has also been enhanced to work with Glyph Matrix and the Glyph Interface, making real-time updates visible across the Always-On Display, Status Bar, Lock Screen, and Notifications.

Moreover, Nothing has introduced a new clock face from the Phone (3a) Community Edition, designed by community member @jadzok. Along with these features, the update includes the April 2026 security patch and numerous bug fixes and stability improvements to enhance the overall user experience.
