
Noida, June 12: The Gautam Buddh Nagar Police Commissionerate has intensified its crackdown on public drinking. Under the direction of Police Commissioner Laxmi Singh, and with oversight from DCP Central Noida Shailendra Kumar Singh and ADCP Central Noida Swatantra Kumar Singh, a comprehensive operation was conducted in the Central Noida zone.
On June 11, police teams carried out thorough inspections in various police jurisdictions within Central Noida. They focused on markets, parks, roadsides, public spaces, and other sensitive areas. During this operation, individuals consuming alcohol in public were identified, disrupting law and order and affecting the social environment.
A total of 414 individuals were charged under Section 292 BNS of the Indian Penal Code. According to police officials, consuming alcohol in public not only violates the law but also causes inconvenience to citizens, particularly women and children, and can escalate disputes and criminal incidents.
Authorities stated that such operations will continue in the future. Strict actions will be taken against those drinking in public, causing disturbances, or disrupting peace. Citizens are urged to comply with the law and uphold the dignity of public spaces.
The Commissionerate Police emphasized that regular operations are essential for maintaining a safe and peaceful environment in the city. This action is viewed as a significant step towards ensuring discipline and law enforcement in public areas. Officials made it clear that there will be no leniency towards rule violators in the future.
