Noida Police have addressed the viral video circulating on social media that shows YouTuber Neetu Bisht allegedly being harassed, followed, and hit by a car. The police clarified that the incident is nearly a month old and was promptly dealt with at the time.
The video shows social media influencer Neetu Bisht inside a car traveling from DND to Greater Noida, being followed by some youths. In the video, she can be heard saying, “Stop the car, stop the car, these people behaved very rudely.”
Police personnel from Knowledge Park police station are also seen at the scene in the video. Neetu Bisht had shared details of the incident on her social media account, which led to the video resurfacing and going viral again.
The police stated that the case falls under the jurisdiction of the Knowledge Park police station. On the day of the incident, they received a report about a dispute related to overtaking. Both accused individuals were immediately taken into custody following the complaint.
Authorities emphasized that the claim of a 27-kilometre chase circulating on social media is misleading. The accused had issued a written apology to the victim. Subsequently, Neetu Bisht and her husband requested the police not to pursue any legal action.
According to the police, the families of the accused were called and given strict warnings after signing bonds. The accused were then handed over to their relatives as per the victim’s wishes.
Neetu Bisht’s husband, Lakhan, who is also a YouTuber, expressed satisfaction with the police’s swift response and publicly thanked the Noida Police and Knowledge Park police at the time, sharing a video to that effect.
The police further noted that the incident had been reported in the media earlier, but it is now being deliberately recirculated on social media, causing confusion. They urged the public not to believe viral videos or news without verifying facts and to rely only on official information.
