New Delhi, June 26: BJP national spokesperson RP Singh addressed several issues, including the Ram Temple donation scam, Rahul Gandhi’s foreign trips, and the NEET exam controversy. He asserted that both the central and state governments are operating with transparency and accountability, ensuring that no guilty party will be spared.
Regarding the FIR filed based on the Special Investigation Team’s (SIT) recommendations in the Ayodhya Ram Temple donation scam, Singh stated that the Uttar Pradesh government’s intentions are clear. The government has issued strict directives that no guilty party, whether an official or employee, should escape accountability. An FIR has been registered following the SIT report, and stringent action will be taken against all responsible individuals once the investigation concludes.
On the resumption of non-domestic packed LPG supplies to pre-crisis levels after sanctions imposed by India during the Iran crisis, Singh explained that certain restrictions were necessary due to war-like conditions. With the situation normalizing, these restrictions are being lifted. Over time, more facilities will be made available to the public.
Singh also made sharp remarks regarding Congress MP Rahul Gandhi’s foreign travels. He claimed that Gandhi has undertaken 55 foreign trips, costing approximately ₹640 million, which is reportedly several times his income. He questioned Gandhi’s commitment to India, suggesting that his focus appears to be more on international travels than domestic issues.
In response to Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut’s demand for action against rebel MP Sanjay Dina Patil, Singh advised Raut to control his language. He noted that the kind of language Raut uses towards his own colleagues would discourage anyone from wanting to remain in such a party. He emphasized the importance of maintaining political decorum before calling for action.
When asked about Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s allegations that Rahul Gandhi misled students regarding the NEET exam, Singh stated that the Congress leader aimed to exploit the issue for political gain. He claimed that Gandhi was attempting to create chaos in the country, but students have completely rejected him. The re-conducted NEET exam was successful, and the government is committed to strengthening the examination system in the future.
Following a meeting between Amazon President and CEO Andy Jassy and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which resulted in a significant investment announcement in India, Singh remarked that India has become one of the most attractive destinations for global investors. Trust in India among international investors is steadily increasing, which is why major companies worldwide are eager to invest here.
Supporting Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath‘s comments on the alliance between Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav and Congress, Singh pointed out that Samajwadi Party founder and former Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav spent his entire political life opposing Congress and the Emergency. It was his struggle against the Emergency that solidified Mulayam Singh Yadav’s political identity, yet today, Akhilesh Yadav is aligning with the same Congress.
