Nitish visits Barh, his old Lok Sabha constituency

Patna, Mar 12 : Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Saturday visited old Barh Lok Sabha constituency, which he had represented five times in his political career. Kumar, who has been Chief Minister of Bihar since 2005 barring a short period from May 2014 to February 2015, visited old Lok Sabha constituency which he had represented five times in his long political career. Some areas of Lok Sabha seat were merged with Munger Lok Sabha constituency while other areas were made parts of Patna Sahib lok Sabha seat during delimitation. Chief Minister said that it was pleasure for him to visit these areas as he got blessings of the people five times to represent them in Lok Sabha. Visiting these areas was like going down memory lane, he remarked. Kumar also interacted with workers and leaders who had worked hard for him when he used to contest Lok Sabha elections. Kumar had never contested Assembly elections after becoming Chief Minister and he has been member of upper House since taking over as CM in 2005. Chief Minister patiently heard grievances aired by locals. Some of them also submitted their petitions to him who assured for redressal of their grievances. JD(U) president Rajeev Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh, Water Resources Minister Sanjay Jha and MLC Neeraj Kumar were among others who accompanied during his visit.
