Patna, April 26: Just 12 days after resigning from the Chief Minister’s position, Nitish Kumar visited the JD(U) office in Patna to participate in the Bhama Shah Jayanti celebration. Party workers gave him a warm welcome, and Kumar even applauded to a song dedicated to him.
At the JD(U) office, workers also warmly greeted Nitish Kumar’s son, Nishant Kumar. The musical welcome created an atmosphere of enthusiasm among supporters. The event was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Chaudhary, former ministers Shravan Kumar, Ashok Chaudhary, and Leshi Singh.
JD(U) leader Leshi Singh remarked, “Bhama Shah’s life is immortal. He is known for his sacrifice and generosity. His story is still remembered even after hundreds of years.”
Former minister Shravan Kumar added, “We have all come to seek Bhama Shah’s blessings. Nitish Kumar inaugurated today’s program. He has taken Bihar to new heights, unlike the jungle raj during Lalu Yadav’s government, which made people afraid to come here.”
Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Chaudhary noted that Nitish Kumar regularly participates in such events, boosting the morale of party workers. He also mentioned that a cabinet expansion will occur soon.
Meanwhile, former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar posted on the social media platform ‘X’, stating, “Today, I participated in the Bhama Shah Jayanti ceremony 2026 organized by the Panchayati Raj Cell of the Bihar BJP at the BIA auditorium, Patna. I paid tribute to the statue of the great philanthropist Bhama Shah. He was not only a generous donor but also a skilled commander. His sacrifice, valor, and dedication to the nation have left an indelible mark in history. He demonstrated that national interest is paramount by giving everything in the struggle of Maharana Pratap.”
Vijay Sinha addressed the attendees, urging them to draw inspiration from Bhama Shah’s life. He shared the heroic tales of Rana-Bhama descendants who came from various corners of Bihar and encouraged everyone to actively participate in nation-building. “Bhama Shah’s service to the nation inspires us to remain steadfast in our dedication, courage, and righteousness. The NDA government is firmly advancing along this glorious tradition of valor and public welfare,” he stated.
