Kiran News | Patna, 16 August : Ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has pledged to provide employment to 1 crore youths in Bihar over the next five years.
On Saturday, Nitish Kumar posted on his X handle that his government has already fulfilled the goal of providing government jobs and employment to 50 lakh youths as per the announcement made under Saat Nishchay-2 in 2020. He further stated that the new target is to give jobs and employment to 1 crore youths in the next five years. The government is encouraging the youth by providing various facilities to those starting industries or engaging in self-employment. Entrepreneurs will receive special economic packages for setting up industries in Bihar.
The Chief Minister also said that special economic packages will be provided to the private sector to promote industrial investment in the state. Capital subsidy, interest subsidy, and the incentive amount given for GST will be doubled. Land will be arranged for industries in every district, and those industries providing more employment will be given land free of cost. Any disputes related to land allotted for industries will be resolved. All these facilities will be made available within the next six months to entrepreneurs who set up industries.
He added that several other provisions have been made to support entrepreneurs in setting up industries in the state. A detailed notification regarding these provisions will be issued separately.
