
New Delhi, February 14: Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the ‘PM Relief’ scheme. He noted that the initiative embodies the spirit of ‘Service to Humanity’ and accelerates the vision of building a ‘Developed India.’
In a post on the social media platform X, Gadkari stated, “The PM Relief initiative is a historic and life-saving decision to ensure immediate and dignified medical care for accident victims. Under this scheme, cashless treatment of up to ₹1.5 lakh will be available, reducing the financial burden on affected families.”
He further added, “I sincerely thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi for this sensitive, visionary, and citizen-centric initiative that prioritizes every precious life. It reflects the spirit of ‘Service to Humanity’ and propels our vision of a ‘Developed India.'”
Following the inauguration of the new office ‘Service to Humanity,’ Prime Minister Modi approved the launch of the ‘PM Relief’ scheme on Friday. This initiative will provide cashless treatment of up to ₹1.5 lakh for accident victims, ensuring that no life is lost due to a lack of immediate medical assistance.
Regarding the decision, PM Modi wrote on X, “Files related to empowering the poor, marginalized, our hardworking farmers, youth, and women have been signed at Service to Humanity.”
Additionally, the central government decided to double the target for ‘Lakhs of Sisters’ to 6 crore. Furthermore, to strengthen the entire agriculture value chain in India, the Prime Minister announced an increase in the Agricultural Infrastructure Fund loan target from ₹1 lakh crore to ₹2 lakh crore. A Startup India Fund of Funds 2.0 with a corpus of ₹10,000 crore was also announced to empower the innovation ecosystem.
