Patna, May 7: Nishant Kumar, a leader of the Janata Dal (United), took the oath of office as a minister in the Bihar government led by Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary on Thursday at Gandhi Maidan. Just weeks after entering politics, he has been entrusted with significant responsibilities.
Immediately after the oath-taking ceremony, Nishant Kumar addressed the media, stating that he now bears a considerable responsibility. “Our senior leaders have placed their trust in me. I will work with genuine intent and complete honesty,” he said.
He emphasized that the love of the people of Bihar is always with him, and he will strive to fulfill their aspirations.
Additionally, Nishant Kumar confirmed that his ‘Sadbhavna Yatra,’ which began on May 3, will continue, noting the respect and affection he has received from the public during the journey.
Meanwhile, Sanjay Paswan expressed gratitude for being entrusted with this role for the second time, thanking Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary for the opportunity. He also acknowledged his leader, Chirag Paswan, for believing in his capabilities. “I will work diligently for the department and the organization and strive to live up to the trust placed in me,” he stated.
Central Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi praised the appointment of Nishant Kumar, calling it a positive step. He congratulated everyone involved in the formation of a new cabinet under Samrat Chaudhary’s leadership, highlighting its balanced representation of all societal segments, including both experienced and young leaders, which will aid Bihar’s progress. He also noted that under Nitish Kumar’s guidance, Bihar will continue to advance.
