Patna, May 7: The Bihar government, led by Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, is set to expand its cabinet this Thursday. Nishant Kumar, the son of former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, is expected to be included in the new cabinet. Recently, images surfaced of Nishant seeking blessings from his father before taking the oath of office.
Before the swearing-in ceremony, Nishant met with his father, touching his feet to receive blessings. Nitish Kumar embraced his son during this emotional moment. Also present were JD(U) National Executive President Sanjay Jha and Union Minister Lalit Singh, to whom Nishant also paid his respects.
Nishant Kumar entered active politics following his father’s announcement to resign as Chief Minister and take a seat in the Rajya Sabha. He formally stepped into the political arena just weeks after his father’s resignation, joining the Janata Dal (United).
