Nirahua Advocates for Global Recognition of Bhojpuri Cinema

Mumbai, April 23: The Bhojpuri film industry is steadily progressing, transforming from a regional entertainment sector into a multi-million dollar business. Stars like Manoj Tiwari and Ravi Kishan began their journeys in this industry, while current icons such as Khesari Lal Yadav and Dinesh Lal Yadav, known as Nirahua, are leading it to new heights.

To further enhance this growth, there is a rising demand for change from within the industry. On Thursday, actor Dinesh Lal Yadav, known as Nirahua, posted a video on Instagram featuring a podcast where he shared significant insights about the future and development of Bhojpuri cinema.

In the video, Nirahua emphasized that relying solely on government subsidies will not suffice for the complete development of the film industry. He noted that while the government currently provides financial assistance for film production, it is now time to focus on skill development.

He stated, “Just providing subsidies is not enough. We urge our government to establish an institution where young people can receive professional training in the intricacies of film production. When individuals enter the industry with formal education, we will see a substantial improvement in the quality of work.”

The actor further mentioned, “Many directors and technicians in the industry today come from Bhojpuri-speaking regions. Our government should allocate a special budget to attract these successful directors to Bhojpuri cinema.”

Nirahua concluded by expressing that if these talented and seasoned artists are given priority and better resources, they can create world-class content in their mother tongue. He expressed confidence that he and his team are continuously working towards giving Bhojpuri language and cinema a new dignity and global recognition. This initiative will not only increase job opportunities but also present an accurate portrayal of Bhojpuri culture to the world.
