Nine Hospitals Sealed in Ahmedabad for Operating Without Building Use Permission

Ahmedabad, December 3 (Daily Kiran). The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation today morning sealed nine hospitals in the South-West zone that were operating without Building Use Permission (BUC), taking strict action over violations of construction norms and public safety concerns.

The municipal corporation had earlier issued written notices and verbal warnings to these hospitals, but when the hospital operators failed to comply with regulations, the civic body was compelled to take stringent measures.

Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation had previously issued notices to these hospitals to obtain Building Use Permission according to construction regulations and regularise their constructions under the Gujarat Unauthorised Construction Regularisation Act-2022. Verbal instructions were also given multiple times.

Despite these warnings, the hospital operators neither submitted any proof of Building Use Permission nor regularisation and continued operating their facilities. Considering this negligence and keeping public safety in mind, the municipal corporation sealed all nine hospitals this morning.

The list of nine hospitals sealed today includes facilities across three areas:

Sarkhej Area:

1. Devpushp Maternity and Nursing Home, Gajraj Bhavan, Sarkhej

Maktampura Area:

2. Muskan Maternity Home, Gulmohar Society, Maktampura

3. Nausheen Hospital, Maktampura

4. Riyaz Hospital, near Royal Akbar Bhavan, Juhapura

5. Happinest Children’s Hospital, United Avas, Vishala Chowraha

Jodhpur-2 / South Bopal Area:

6. Safal Multi-Specialty Hospital, South Bopal

7. Mamta Hospital, South Bopal

8. Aasna Orthopedic Hospital, South Bopal

9. Dwarika Hospital, South Bopal
