
New Delhi, June 3: New Zealand Cricket has unveiled its domestic international schedule for the 2026-27 season. The highlight of this season will be the much-anticipated mega tour by the Indian cricket team.
The Indian squad will visit New Zealand from October to December 2026. During this tour, Team India will play a total of 12 matches, including 5 T20s, 5 ODIs, and 2 Test matches. This tour will mark the largest bilateral series by any foreign team in New Zealand’s cricket history.
The men’s team will be in New Zealand from October 22 to December 1, 2026. Matches will take place in five major cities: Christchurch, Wellington, Auckland, Hamilton, and Tauranga.
In total, New Zealand Cricket has announced 26 international matches across eight cities for this season.
Additionally, the New Zealand women’s team, known as the White Ferns, will host Bangladesh in December, featuring 3 T20s and 3 ODIs from December 10 to 23. This will be their only home series this summer. The Black Caps will also host Sri Lanka in January-February 2027, which will include 3 ODIs, 3 T20s, and 2 Test matches. Furthermore, a highly anticipated series against Australia featuring four Test matches is also on the agenda.
The 2026/27 international domestic schedule was launched on June 3 at the International Swaminarayan Satsang Organization (ISSO) in Papatoetoe. The event was attended by White Ferns spinner Eden Carson, Black Caps star spinner Ish Sodhi, local community members, and New Zealand’s Minister for Sport and Recreation, Mark Mitchell.
The New Zealand government has announced special support for the India tour, dedicated to the century-old sporting ties between the two nations. A New Zealand Cricket official described the tour as “a once-in-a-generation opportunity,” noting the excitement among fans with the presence of star players like Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah.
Recent years have seen an intriguing rivalry between the two teams, making this tour even more thrilling. There is expected to be high demand for tickets, and fans are advised to book early during the pre-sale window. Sky New Zealand will remain the official broadcaster of New Zealand Cricket for the next six seasons.
