Mumbai, February 10: The new song “Man Hawa” from the courtroom drama “Assi,” directed by Anubhav Sinha, has been released. Playback singer Mohit Chauhan lends his voice to this track featuring Taapsee Pannu. He expressed a special connection to the song.
Mohit shared that he was captivated by the song from the very first note. “Man Hawa” is an emotionally charged track that beautifully captures the sentiments of this fast-paced investigative courtroom drama, which bravely raises difficult questions. The song is composed by Rochak Kohli, with lyrics by Kumar. Alongside Mohit Chauhan, the song also features vocals from Pratibha Tandon and Rochak Kohli.
Discussing “Man Hawa,” Mohit Chauhan said, “I have always loved songs that tell a story and have something meaningful to say. I was drawn to ‘Man Hawa’ right from the start, and during the recording, I found myself flowing with the emotions, allowing the story to breathe.”

In “Assi,” Taapsee Pannu plays the lead role, supported by Kani Kusruti, Revathi, Manoj Pahwa, Kumud Mishra, and Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub in key roles. The film also features special appearances by Naseeruddin Shah, Supriya Pathak, and Seema Pahwa.
Presented by Gulshan Kumar and T-Series, this film is produced by Banaras Media Works. Anubhav Sinha directed the film, with Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar as co-producers.
