New Roads to Ease Traffic in Udaipur

Udaipur, January 22: To address the growing problem of traffic congestion in Udaipur, a meeting led by MLA Tarachand Jain and UDA officials was held to discuss opening new roads and removing bottlenecks. The initiative aims to streamline traffic flow and enhance connectivity across the city.

Key Developments in the Plan

Direct Road from Patel Circle to Mallatalai

  • A direct route from Patel Circle to Mallatalai will be opened, involving the acquisition of land near Trident.
  • The landowner has agreed to the acquisition, and alternative land will be provided as compensation.

Service Road Near Nehru Hostel

  • A service road near Nehru Hostel will be constructed, requiring the acquisition of:
    • 108 meters of land for the road.
    • 92 meters of land to be purchased as compensation.

Bottleneck Removal at Nagda Restaurant

  • Shop owners near Nagda Restaurant have agreed to relocate, allowing for the removal of a major bottleneck in the area.

New Roads Near Railway Tracks

  • In the Kumharon Ka Bhatta area, new roads will be constructed on both sides of the railway tracks.
  • Land acquisition will be carried out to facilitate this development.

Traffic Signals to Improve Flow

Plans are underway to install traffic signals at major intersections, including Sukher, Bhuwana, and Pratapnagar.

  • Budget Allocation:
    • The UDA will provide โ‚น18.50 lakh for the project.
    • The Udaipur Municipal Corporation will oversee the installation of the signals.

Collaborative Efforts to Streamline Traffic

The meeting, attended by UDA Commissioner Rahul Jain, Engineer Sanjeev Sharma, and other officials, reflected a collaborative approach to addressing Udaipurโ€™s traffic challenges. MLA Tarachand Jain expressed confidence that these measures would significantly reduce congestion and improve mobility for residents and visitors.
