New Delhi, May 20: Following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal, government offices and institutions in New Delhi began a ‘Work From Home’ initiative on Wednesday. In this context, Kuljeet Chahal, Vice Chairman of the NDMC (New Delhi Municipal Council), held an online meeting with officials.
Chahal stated, “Today, we are starting ‘Work From Home’ with all our Heads of Departments, just as the Prime Minister appealed to the nation regarding safe fuel, safe energy, and various other measures.” Delhi’s Chief Minister Rekha Gupta also confirmed that the Delhi government and all other institutions will adhere to the ‘Work From Home’ policy on Wednesday.
He added, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged all citizens to save fuel. Following this appeal, we have initiated our own measures. Today, we discussed the ‘India-Africa Summit’ during our online meeting. This summit is scheduled to take place in Delhi from May 28 to May 31.”
Chahal emphasized that the Delhi government and all other institutions will implement ‘Work From Home’ every Wednesday. He also mentioned, “We have prepared a design for posters to be displayed on the streets. The design for the ‘India-Africa Summit’ has also been initiated.”
The NDMC Vice Chairman expressed pride in successfully hosting the G-20 and AI summits under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership. “Now, we are fully prepared for the ‘India-Africa Summit.’ Foreign guests attending the program will stay in hotels and visit ‘Bharat Mandapam.’ We are ensuring that the city shines like during the Diwali festival,” he stated.
Kuljeet Chahal concluded by saying that the cleanest, most beautiful, and safest NDMC area is ready to welcome guests attending the summit once again.
