NEET-UG 2026: Refund Portal Now Open for Candidates Until May 27

New Delhi, May 23: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has launched a refund facility for candidates who participated in the canceled NEET-UG 2026 exam held on May 3. Students can now submit their bank details for a refund of the exam fee through the official website.

According to the official notification, the refund option is available on the NEET-UG 2026 registration portal. Registered candidates can log in using their application credentials and navigate to the dedicated refund link to complete the refund process.

To receive the refund, applicants must provide essential banking details, including the account holder’s name, bank name, account number, and IFSC code. Candidates also have the option to upload a scanned copy of the canceled cheque to ensure the accuracy of the submitted information.

The NTA has clarified that once the bank details are submitted, they will be considered final, and no corrections or modifications will be allowed afterward. Candidates are advised to verify all information carefully before submission. The deadline for submitting bank details for the refund is May 27 at 11:50 PM.

It is noteworthy that the NEET exam was conducted on May 3 for admission to undergraduate medical courses across India. However, the exam was later canceled after reports emerged that some individuals allegedly obtained the question paper before the exam and distributed it to candidates for a fee. So far, 11 people have been arrested in connection with this case, which is being investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

Following the cancellation, the NTA announced that the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination will now take place on June 21. The exam will be held from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM, which includes time allocated for exam-related formalities.

Candidates are advised to regularly check the NTA’s official website for updates regarding the refund process and the re-examination schedule.
