NCP accuses BJP of insulting Governor in Maha Assembly

Mumbai, March 3 : State President of NCP and Water Resources Minister Jayant Patil on Thursday expressed his displeasure over the unfortunate incident that Governor Bhagat Singh Koshiyari had to leave the House without completing his address. He squarely blamed the BJP MLAs, stating that due to the indiscipline of BJP MLAs in Assembly, the Governor had to leave the House, which was never happened in the history of Maharashtra. In his official statement, Patil said “We (NCP) were also in the Opposition, but never insulted the House.” When the Governor came to the House, the MLAs of Mahavikas Aghadi welcomed him, but BJP members got confused. The billboards flashed, so the Governor left before the national anthem was completed. Patil further said that this was an insult to the national anthem, he added. VKB NV RJ
