
Mumbai, May 7: South Indian cinema’s beloved actor Naga Chaitanya recently marked the 15th anniversary of his Telugu romantic comedy film, ‘100 Percent Love.’ On this special occasion, both the actor and the film’s creators expressed their gratitude to the audience and the team.
Naga Chaitanya took to the social media platform X to share the film’s poster. Reflecting on the milestone, he wrote, “’100 Percent Love’ has completed 15 years since its release. I want to sincerely thank the amazing team and my dear audience. You have given me beautiful memories and unparalleled love. Honestly, this journey would never have been as memorable and successful without all of you.”
The production house, Geetha Arts, also celebrated this significant milestone on X. They stated, “A film that made us laugh, gave us moments to smile, and fell in love with. The blockbuster entertainer ‘100 Percent Love’ has completed 15 years since its release.”
Directed by Sukumar, ‘100 Percent Love’ featured Naga Chaitanya and Tamannaah Bhatia in lead roles. The film performed well at the box office and received two Nandi Awards. It was later remade in Bengali as ‘Prem Ki Bujhini’ (2016) and in Tamil as ‘100 Percent Kadhal’ (2019).
The film narrates the story of Baloo and Mahalaxmi, focusing on the clash of love and ego. Composed by Devi Sri Prasad, it is known for its youth-centric songs and dialogues. Besides Naga Chaitanya and Tamannaah, the film also starred M.S. Narayana and Dharmavarapu Subramanyam in significant roles.
The plot revolves around Baloo (Naga Chaitanya), a brilliant yet arrogant student. The story takes a twist when Mahalaxmi (Tamannaah) enters his life and surpasses him academically.
