MSRTC strike continues

Aurangabad, March 14 : A strike by a section of the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corp (MSRTC) employees on Monday entered the 138th day. However, in Aurangabad division, 50 percent of the employees are back at work and 238 of the 450 buses were plying on different routes, providing passengers some relief. The strike started from October 28 after the employees demanded that the MSRTC should merge with the state government. A three-member committee appointed by the court, however, ruled out a merger. While around 50 per cent of the 1,250 employees then returned to work, others did not and continued with the strike. VKB MR
