New Delhi — The monsoon has officially arrived in Madhya Pradesh, bringing much-needed relief from the scorching summer heat. After entering the state two days ago, monsoon showers have spread across multiple regions, accompanied by thunderstorms. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the monsoon is advancing rapidly and is expected to cover the remaining parts of the state soon.
On Tuesday, monsoon clouds were seen over Alirajpur, Jhabua, Dhar, Indore, Dewas, Harda, Khandwa, Betul, Narmadapuram, and Chhindwara, where several areas reported rainfall.
IMD Issues Heavy Rain Alert for Several Districts
In its latest bulletin, the IMD has forecast heavy rainfall over the next 24 hours in several districts across Madhya Pradesh, along with a likely drop in temperatures.

The heaviest rainfall in the past 24 hours was reported in Biaora (Rajgarh district), where 90 mm of rainfall was recorded. Other significant rainfall reports include:
Barwara (Katni) — 64 mm
Jawad (Neemuch) — 49 mm
Mahidpur (Ujjain) — 45 mm
Bhanpura (Mandsaur) — 40.2 mm
Bina (Sagar) — 37 mm
Shamgarh (Mandsaur) — 36 mm
