More Intercity trains start; Cox’s Bazar Tourist spot, Sea Beach to reopen in Bangladesh

The sea beaches, tourist spots, hotels and motels in Cox’s Bazar will open on a limited scale after remaining closed for more than 5 months, reports the official news agency BSS.

The local district administration has prepared health guidelines as per government instructions to ensure the safety of the tourists.

Moreover, 13 pairs of passenger trains also resumed their services from Sunday. 17 intercity trains had already started services since the process started on May 31.

Earlier on Saturday, Health Minister Zahid Maleque said that Coronavirus was on its way out from the country. He pointed out that despite resumption of economic activities death rate and fresh infections have dropped in Bangladesh. However, he said that the issue of procuring vaccines will be discussed with the Prime Minister on Monday.

In the meanwhile, the death toll due to Coronavirus in Bangladesh rose to 3657 as 32 deaths were reported on Sunday. The total number of people infected by Coronavirus has also gone up to 2.76 lakh with 2024 fresh cases being detected on Sunday.
