Lucknow, April 27: In the 38th match of IPL 2026, the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) faced off against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium. LSG’s fast bowler Mohsin Khan made history with an outstanding performance.
Mohsin delivered an exceptional bowling spell, taking 5 wickets for just 23 runs in 4 overs. This achievement makes him the best-performing left-arm Indian fast bowler in IPL history. Additionally, he set a record for the second-best bowling spell for the Lucknow Super Giants. Mohsin is now only the third fast bowler to claim 5 wickets in a match against KKR, joining the ranks of Jasprit Bumrah and Yuzvendra Chahal.
KKR’s batting lineup crumbled under Mohsin’s impressive bowling. He dismissed Ajinkya Rahane, Tim Seifert, Cameron Green, Rovman Powell, and Anukul Roy. After losing the toss and batting first, KKR managed to score 155 runs, losing 7 wickets in the process. Captain Ajinkya Rahane continued his poor form, scoring only 10 runs, while Tim Seifert was dismissed without scoring. Ankur Raghuwanshi was also given out for obstructing the field after scoring 9 runs.
Cameron Green contributed 34 runs off 21 balls, hitting 3 sixes. Rovman Powell managed just 1 run, and Anukul Roy was out for a duck. Ramandeep Singh scored only 6 runs.
