Modi wishes Obama speedy recovery from Covid

New Delhi, March 14 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday wished former US President Barack Obama speedy recovery from Covid-19. In a tweet, the PM said: “My best wishes @BarackObama for your quick recovery from COVID-19, and for your family’s good health and wellbeing.” His wishes came as Obama in a tweet said that he has tested positive for Covid. He said his wife Michelle has tested negative. “I just tested positive for COVID. I’ve had a scratchy throat for a couple days, but am feeling fine otherwise. “Michelle and I are grateful to be vaccinated and boosted, and she has tested negative. “It’s a reminder to get vaccinated if you haven’t already, even as cases go down.” The US is witnessing a downward trend in cases, following the initial wave of omicron, registering an average of 34,805 new daily cases, the lowest case rate since July 2021, according to CDC data. Only 44.3% of the U.S. population has received a booster dose. RN
