Chennai, April 8: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK President MK Stalin will kick off the fourth phase of his assembly election campaign from Thanjavur on Friday, intensifying his outreach efforts in the Delta region.
A large public rally is scheduled for 5 PM in Thanjavur, where Stalin will seek votes for DMK and alliance candidates. These candidates are contesting in key constituencies, including Thiruvaiyaru, Thanjavur, Orathanadu, Pattukkottai, Peravurani, Papanasam, Thiruvidaimarudur, and Kumbakonam.
Following the Thanjavur rally, he will continue his campaign with another public meeting in Pudukkottai on April 11 at 4 PM. He will promote candidates from Gandharvakottai, Viralimalai, Pudukkottai, Thirumayam, Alangudi, and Aranthangi. That evening, he will address another rally in Tiruppattur district at 7 PM, supporting candidates from Karaikudi, Tiruppattur, Shivaganga, and Manamadurai.
On April 12, Stalin will hold a rally in Paramakudi at 4 PM, where he will seek votes for candidates from Paramakudi, Thiruvadanai, Ramanathapuram, and Mudukulathur. Later that evening, he will participate in a rally in Vilathikulam, Tuticorin, Thiruchendur, Srivaikundam, Ottapidaram, and Kovilpatti.
This fourth phase of campaigning follows a comprehensive multi-tiered campaign conducted by Stalin across Tamil Nadu. He began his election campaign on March 31 from his hometown of Thiruvarur. After completing the second phase, he traveled to Puducherry for the third phase earlier this week.
On Tuesday, Stalin addressed a rally in Sirkaazhi, Mayiladuthurai district, garnering support for DMK and alliance candidates. He continued his campaign on Wednesday morning in Tiruvannamalai, engaging directly with voters.
Meanwhile, DMK leadership has advised party officials to avoid roadside events due to the busy schedule. Workers have also been instructed to refrain from visiting Stalin’s residence and to ensure smooth coordination by being present directly at campaign venues.
