Mizoram extends total lockdown till 30th June

The total lockdown was imposed on June 9 after the number of coronavirus cases in the state has jumped from 1 to 42 in a week. It was scheduled to be in force till Monday. 

In an order, the government said that it extended the total lockdown as stricter measures imposed earlier were found to be effective in containing the spread of COVID-19. 

Mizoram on Sunday reported one fresh case taking the state’s tally to 141, of which 140 were returnees. The new patient, a 29-year-old woman from Aizawl, was a Maharashtra returnee. T

here are 132 active cases in the state while 9 have recovered from the virus.
