Melania Trump Documentary Premieres, Highlights Life Inside White House

Washington: The documentary titled ‘Melania’, based on the life of America’s First Lady Melania Trump, has been released. It captures her return to the White House with the beginning of President Donald Trump’s second term.

The documentary premiered on Thursday at the Kennedy Center in Washington. President Trump described the film as an important part of life inside the presidency.

Trump took the oath of office for his second term in January 2025. The documentary offers glimpses into Melania’s professional and personal life during the 20 days leading up to the second inauguration ceremony.

Speaking to the media, Trump said he watched the documentary for the first time just a few days ago. “I saw it for the first time two nights ago. I really liked it. I thought it was very good,” he said.

He called the documentary “wonderful and emotionally touching” and added, “It is really good, glamorous – very glamorous. We need some glamour. The country needs it.”

Trump highlighted that the film shows aspects of life in the White House that the general public rarely sees. He said, “I think it is a very necessary documentary. It shows our life in the White House. It is truly a big deal.”

When asked about his involvement in the project, Trump stated he had no creative role. “This was done with my wife. Melania led the effort and called the film her baby. She really produced this documentary and did a great job. It is very important work,” he said.

During the media interaction, Trump praised Melania, calling her a “very serious, wonderful, and influential person” whom he trusts deeply. He added that viewers will gain a better understanding of Melania through the documentary, saying, “People know she is smart, but maybe they will see something beyond just the word smart. The film shows her impact.”

First Lady Melania Trump said the documentary depicts “a lot of emotion, fashion, sorrow, sadness, celebration, and love.” It showcases her return to the role of First Lady, including preparations for the inauguration and the journey into the White House.

She explained that the film covers the planning of the inauguration, managing business and philanthropy, caring for the family, and setting up the East Wing. It also shows meetings with security personnel and the hiring process for staff who serve the American people.
