Mumbai, April 16 : The buzz over Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt is just not over yet. The pair tied the knot on April 14 at a small private function and then opened their hearts out on social media giving all the anticipated details over the last two days. The couple was showered with gifts and blessings and they still continue to pour in. One such was by Animal Rahat Institution (ARI) from Maharashtra’s Sangli, who named a horse and mare after the celebrity couple at their animal orphanage. ARI, is an orphanage for injured, stray or affected animals, situated in Belnki in Miraj tehsil. While the mare was used for procession or at marriage functions, the horse pulled buggy at Victoria at Getway of India, Mumbai. However, following Covid lockdown, the owner left the mare in an injured state with the orphanage, while the horse was seized in Mumbai. After the star couple refrained from use of animal at their Mumbai wedding, ARI decided to name the animal pair at their support after Ranbir and Alia. “It was a proper incident to show love for animals,” said ARI chief officer Narendra Upreti. With Ranbir’s decision, the horses in future will also receive protection as every one must emulate this move, said Upreti expressing gratitude. “We decided to give names of Ranbir-Alia to this horse couple from our orphanage to remember the moment.” Alia’s mom Soni Razdan and half-sister Pooja Bhatt reposted ARI’s message on Instagram with the white horse and mare picture. “Bollywood power couple Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor chose to keep their wedding day horse-free! A perfect occasion for anyone to spare a thought for and show love to ALL our fellow sentient beings. In honor of their compassion, Animal Rahat has named these horses Ranbir & Alia!” SSS NV ING
